Suddenly realised that  I am away off and on for the next two weeks (Easter and all that..) so have been trying to get ahead with the week two stuff - well, at least I've looked at the first two things - lots of reading to do!!

But I have had a look and play at 'popple', a really lovely tool.  Not sure I'd use it too much on a normal day-to-day basis, but for teachers and people doing presentations, it's fantastic.  I also discovered Windows 'paintbox', which I'd never looked at before (always thought of it as for the children!) which sort of did the job for Activity 3, but so clunky by comparison with popple.  I also looked at 'storybird', but I couldn't see how you used it; very pretty graphics, but popple beat it hands down - think I must be a popple-fan.

I also looked at the Week 2 Forum (I know it's not started yet, but I've done OU courses before, and it always pays to look ahead.  With courses that were new, they used to sign-post the answers to the TMA so well, you always checked what the questions were before you read the unit!)  I'm not sure what category I come under for the Forum threads though - probably ICT4D, as none of the others fitted!  I understand the ICT terminology, but 4D, for designers, maybe?
Oh well, roll on the reading!
